Overview

Namibia's vast landscapes in southwest Africa are dominated by deserts, featuring expansive stretches of rocks, dunes, sand, and dust. Sandy riverbeds wind their way through these arid terrains, often devoid of water for years, only filling when significant rainfall occurs in the mountains, sending water cascading toward the coast.
