Overview

After spending time in an asylum due to the trauma of her mother's fiery demise, Susan Shelley is finally released. She returns to a home where her father has remarried, but his new wife is more interested in his wealth than in being a loving stepmother. As Susan grapples with her mother's haunting memory, she becomes entangled in a sinister plot. Her stepmother, along with her lover, schemes to manipulate Susan into revealing the location of her mother's missing diamond necklace, further complicating the young woman's fragile state of mind.
