District 9

Overview

Thirty years post-arrival, aliens seeking refuge from their desolate homeworld find themselves confined in District 9, a segregated area in South Africa. Managed by the unscrupulous Multi-National United, their plight is largely ignored as the organization aims to exploit their advanced technology. When a company operative contracts a strange virus that starts to change his DNA, he has no choice but to seek shelter among the very beings he once sought to control. His journey within District 9 challenges his perceptions and forces him to confront his own humanity.
