Overview

As Allied forces liberate a battered Belgian town in 1944, American and British commanders strive to restore hope and stability to the weary inhabitants. They tackle the daunting tasks of healing deep emotional scars, reviving agriculture, and rebuilding the local church. Meanwhile, a cunning Nazi officer, aware of the impending defeat, secretly manipulates the community, sowing seeds of discord and unrest.
