Hsi Shih: The Beauty of Beauties stands out as a monumental achievement in 1960s Taiwanese cinema. Set during the tumultuous Warring States Period, the narrative unfolds as the kingdom of Yue seeks vengeance against the victorious Wu. King Goujian of Yue cunningly offers Xishi to King Fucha of Wu, masking her true role as a spy.
