Overview

In 1950s Liverpool, a young John Lennon navigates adolescence under the watchful eye of his Aunt Mimi following the death of her husband. At the funeral, John unexpectedly reconnects with his estranged mother, Julia, igniting a desire to build a relationship despite Mimi's disapproval. Julia introduces him to the world of music and the joys of the banjo, fueling John's creativity.
