Overview

In Algiers, 1938, Meursault, a reserved man in his early thirties, attends his mother’s funeral with no sign of grief. The following day, he starts a casual relationship with Marie, a co-worker, and quickly returns to his normal life. However, his routine is soon interrupted by his neighbor, Raymond Sintès, who involves Meursault in his questionable activities.
