Overview

Anna, a dedicated violin teacher, balances her career and family life with her husband, an instrument maker, and their son, Jonas. Recognizing the exceptional talent in young Alexander, she pours her heart into preparing him for a pivotal exam, causing tension between the two boys. As her marriage deteriorates, Anna grows distant from her family and begins an affair with her colleague Christian, who inspires her to pursue a quartet. When a disastrous performance heightens the stakes, her ambition for Alexander spirals out of control, leading to a devastating climax on exam day.
