Overview

In post-World War II Saigon, Larry discovers that his friend Mike has a terminal illness. Determined to make Mike's remaining days joyful, Larry snags a lucrative flying gig with shady businessman Maris. As the flight departs, he unexpectedly forces Maris's secretary, Susan, onto the plane. Mike quickly develops feelings for her, prompting Larry to urge Susan to feign interest for his friend’s benefit.
