Overview

In "Southern Comfort," a group of National Guardsmen embarks on a weekend training mission in the remote Louisiana swamps, only to find themselves in grave danger after they pilfer canoes belonging to local Cajun inhabitants. Stripped of live ammunition and navigating unfamiliar terrain, the soldiers’ ordeal quickly spirals into a fight for survival, echoing the harrowing challenges faced during the Vietnam War. As tensions escalate, the Guardsmen must confront not only their adversaries but also their own fears and limitations in this hostile environment.
