Overview

Amid the unforgiving landscape of the American frontier, three women succumb to the madness brought on by the relentless hardships of pioneer life. Determined to help, the devout and strong-willed Mary Bee Cuddy takes it upon herself to transport them to Iowa for care. Realizing the journey's perilous nature, she reluctantly enlists the help of George Briggs, a disreputable drifter. Together, they set off with the three women, facing the treacherous Nebraska Territories, where beauty intertwines with danger, as they seek refuge with a minister and his wife awaiting their arrival.
