Overview

In November 1999, 67-year-old Trond embraces his solitude, anticipating a quiet New Year's Eve as the year 2000 approaches. However, winter brings a surprise when he learns he has a neighbor—an old acquaintance from 1948, the pivotal summer of his adolescence. That summer, Trond's father was preparing him for a weighty betrayal that would lead to his father's mysterious disappearance. As memories resurface, Trond is prompted to confront the shadows of his past and the choices that shaped his life.
