Overview

Relocating to Pasadena, Texas, Bud Davis, a young country man, finds himself drawn to Gilley's, a lively bar where he meets Sissy, an independent cowgirl with a progressive mindset. Their whirlwind romance culminates in marriage, yet traditional gender expectations strain their bond. As jealousy flares over Bud's competitor, their relationship falters, leading to a painful separation.
