Overview

Filmmaker Dan Klores explores the bizarre relationship between Burt Pugach and Linda Riss. Set in 1950s New York, Pugach, a prominent attorney, becomes infatuated with the much younger Riss. Their romance crumbles when Riss discovers Pugach's dubious claims of being divorced. Heartbroken and enraged upon learning she’s engaged to another man, Pugach orchestrates a brutal attack, hiring men to throw lye in her face.
