Overview

Hally, a young white South African, grapples with the oppressive views of his racist father while finding solace in his relationship with Sam, a black waiter who serves as both a mentor and friend. Torn between these conflicting influences, Hally is pressured to accept his father's prejudiced humor, yet Sam introduces him to moments of dignity and pride.
