Overview

Returning to Philadelphia in 1976 after years away, former Black Panther Marcus grapples with his troubled past and the legacy of the 1960s. He reconnects with Pat, the widow of a Panther leader, and forms a bond with her young daughter. As he seeks redemption, Marcus faces the persistent racial and social unrest of his community, alongside old foes and friends who have their own grievances.
