Overview

Set against the backdrop of Nazi-occupied France in the early 1940s, the Joffo family, a close-knit Jewish household, faces growing peril as they are forced to wear yellow stars. With an uncertain future looming, the parents orchestrate an escape to the free zone in the south. Twelve-year-old Maurice and his ten-year-old brother Joseph embark on a dangerous journey alone, hoping to reunite with their older siblings in Nice. As they navigate perilous circumstances, the brothers exhibit remarkable resourcefulness, bravery, and determination in their quest for safety and family unity.
