Overview

Eleven-year-old Allan navigates a turbulent life in South Jutland during the early 1970s. His father's erratic mental state leads to frequent suicide threats, while his mother has resigned herself to despair. As the family's stability crumbles, Allan takes on the burden of keeping them united. When a neighboring family jeopardizes his father's business, desperation drives him to increasingly extreme actions.
