Overview

Following a protracted mission in space, astronauts Steve Barkett and Larry Latham arrive back on Earth to find it ravaged by nuclear devastation. Los Angeles has descended into chaos, dominated by rogue gangs and mutants. Teaming up with two women and a pair of children, the astronauts align themselves with a burgeoning resistance.
