Overview

An all-black inner-city school faces the challenge of integration as a handful of white students are transferred in. The existing black student body fiercely resists this change, leading to heightened tensions within the school. Seeking a resolution, the administration turns to a formidable black teacher known for his discipline and strong leadership.
