Once a vibrant homeland, Syria has turned into a perilous wasteland, forcing many to flee. Adnan's journey begins with the harrowing choice to risk everything for a chance at safety, as countless others have done, entrusting their lives to unscrupulous traffickers. Europe, once a beacon of hope, now feels increasingly out of reach as borders close. Trapped in the Calais Jungle, Adnan faces daily brutality from authorities while searching for his missing wife. Stripped of his identity as a teacher, he grapples with despair, surrounded by others who share the same haunting emptiness.
