Overview

Kenza, a spirited eleven-year-old, navigates her life in a car wrecking yard on Curaçao with her father, Ouira, a pragmatic police officer, and her grandfather, Weljo, who embraces the island's indigenous spirituality. Their contrasting beliefs spark tension as Weljo prepares for his transition to the spirit world. Caught between her father’s rational approach and her grandfather's alluring mysticism, Kenza begins to explore her identity. As she distances herself from Ouira’s grounded mindset, she finds solace and inspiration in the comforting traditions that Weljo offers, ultimately seeking her own unique path.
