Overview

Betsy Hopper, an unconventional fashion student, and her by-the-book fiancé, Jake Lovell, crave a simple wedding reception. However, Betsy's father, Eddie, a construction contractor from Long Island, feels overshadowed by Jake's affluent WASP family. Determined to prove himself, Eddie transforms the modest celebration into an extravagant affair, much to the dismay of his wife, Lola, who spirals into a financial frenzy over the escalating costs. As chaos ensues, the couple must navigate their families' expectations while trying to hold onto their vision for their special day.
