Coven (2020)

Overview

Set in 1609 in the French Basque Country, a small fishing village finds itself in turmoil as the men are away at sea. Judge Rostegui, on a royal mission to cleanse the land of witchcraft, seizes Ana and her companions, accusing them of being witches. As fear and paranoia grip the community, the women's fight for survival unfolds against a backdrop of superstition and oppression, highlighting the dark consequences of unchecked power and hysteria. The tension escalates as they confront the judge’s relentless pursuit of the so-called devil's influence.
