Overview

Ellen Hallit secretly pines for her charming boss, Douglas Morrison, but her shyness holds her back. Determined to help, her roommate Chris hatches a scheme. She trails Morrison to Sun Valley, Idaho, pretending to be overly affectionate in hopes he’ll call for Ellen, who usually fills the role of his "fiancée" when he needs to deflect unwanted attention. However, things take an unexpected turn when Chris attracts the interest of bandleader Dick Layne, leaving her entangled in a romantic rivalry between the two men.
