Overview

Bernice "Bernie" Rhodenbarr juggles her dual life as a skilled burglar and a bookstore owner. Following a heist, she stumbles upon a shocking discovery: a corpse in the residence she just robbed. With evidence linking her to the crime scene, Bernie must rely on her wits and thieving expertise to prove her innocence in the murder while simultaneously navigating the legal repercussions of her burglary. Enlisting the help of her dog groomer friend, Carl Hefler, she embarks on a tense quest for justice and survival amidst a web of deception.
