Overview

Twelve-year-old Arnold Hillerman and his older brother Eugene share a quiet life on their Montana farm until a tragic accident alters everything. While handling a gun, Arnold accidentally shoots and kills Eugene, leaving him emotionally detached and struggling to understand the devastation he has caused. As Arnold grapples with his own feelings of guilt, he faces a grieving family—including a distraught mother, a harsh uncle, and a conflicted grandfather—each dealing with their loss in their own way.
