Overview

During a trip to meet an independent artist in the South, new art dealer Madeleine is persuaded by her husband, George, to detour and visit his family in North Carolina. Her upscale background conflicts with the family's dynamics, yet she forms a bond with George's innocent and expectant sister-in-law, Ashley, who is close to giving birth. Interacting with the family allows Madeleine to uncover deeper layers of George's personality and their relationship.
