Overview

David Sumner, a reserved scholar from America, ties the knot with Amy, a woman from England. Seeking a quieter life away from the chaos of his home country, the couple moves to the quaint village in Cornwall where Amy grew up. However, David quickly finds himself alienated by the town's rough-and-tumble men, including Charlie, Amy's former lover. As the harassment intensifies, David is pushed to his limits, leading to a dramatic confrontation.
