Three Stories

Overview

A man visits his old school friend who works at a boiler house and convinces him to incinerate the body of a neighbor he just killed following a heated argument. Meanwhile, an orphaned girl secures a position in the maternity home's archives to uncover the identity of her long-lost mother. Upon finding her, she befriends her but soon seizes the chance to cast her into the sea. An elderly intellectual attempts to impart the harsh realities of life to the neighbor's five-year-old daughter. Feeling betrayed by her mother's actions, the girl plots to poison him with arsenic.
