Overview

Madame Ranevskaya, a pampered aristocrat, returns from Paris to confront the impending loss of her cherished Cherry Orchard estate due to mortgage default. Clinging to nostalgia, she remains oblivious to her family's struggles, living in a dreamlike past. As the stunning cherry trees fall to the axe wielded by Lopakhin (Teale), her former serf with ambitions of his own, the tension between old wealth and a changing social order escalates.
