Overview

Melanie McGuire, a dedicated fertility nurse and mother, appears to have a perfect life with her ex-Navy husband, Bill. However, her world spirals into darkness when she embarks on a passionate affair with Brad, a colleague. In a shocking turn, Melanie drugs and kills Bill, dismembers his body, and hides the remains in three suitcases, discarding them in Chesapeake Bay. When the suitcases wash ashore in Virginia Beach, an investigation ensues, with assistant attorney general Patti Prezioso leading the charge. Despite her conviction, Melanie clings to her claim of innocence throughout the ordeal.
