Overview

Ramón Sampedro, a ship mechanic and aspiring poet, becomes a quadriplegic after a tragic diving incident. For three decades, Ramón battles for the right to choose his own end. Throughout his journey, he forms deep connections with his dedicated lawyer Julia and his friend Rosa, who passionately urges him to see the value in his existence. Even in the face of his challenges, Ramón's spirit motivates those around him to embrace life wholeheartedly.
