Overview

Corinne Levasseur, a young police inspector, finds herself in hot water after interrogating a dealer without judicial approval. Her indiscretion, linked to her lover Berthot, leads to her reassignment to a small Northern town dominated by a wealthy industrialist. Tasked with menial duties, Corinne becomes intrigued by the mysterious death of a teenager. As she delves deeper, she uncovers a disturbing child prostitution ring involving a prominent local figure and his son-in-law. Meanwhile, a young investigating judge also takes on the case but soon faces intense pressure to abandon his pursuit of the truth.
