Overview

Sami, a deaf woman, lives alone in a desolate suburban landscape haunted by a sinister force lurking beneath power lines. Her cochlear implant picks up a faint hum, her only warning of its approach. Refusing to abandon hope that her missing family will return, she stays in her fortified home, even as the military plans to level the area. Two strangers arrive, claiming they can destroy the creature with a bomb “fueled by Hell.” As Sami’s buried childhood trauma resurfaces, memories blur, and her grip on reality fractures. She detonates the bomb and wakes in a hospital, reunited with her family—but soon realizes the reunion is an illusion.
