Overview

Set against the backdrop of the 1940s, Malays, celebrated for their seafaring prowess, embark on adventures across the oceans. Othman, a fisherman of Bugis heritage from a quaint Malacca village, leaves his loved ones behind to seek fortune and honor. Yet, years of toil as a deckhand yield meager rewards, leading to his disillusionment. Instead of returning home, he builds a life in Liverpool. Fast forward 60 years, and his grandson Ahmad embarks on a quest across the globe to uncover the legacy of his grandfather and the stories that shaped their family.
