Overview

Calvin Wheeler, a clever 13-year-old with a passion for comics, faces a major dilemma: he’s missing a rare issue from his collection. While skateboarding, a high-strung show dog gives chase, leading to an unexpected encounter with its owner who encourages Calvin to adopt a pet. He ends up with Tyko, a wild Labrador/St. Bernard mix from the local shelter. This unruly pooch quickly becomes a handful, testing Calvin's patience and resolve as he navigates the challenges of dog ownership while dreaming of comic book glory.
