Overview

Willi Schulze, a car mechanic, partners with Paul, a runaway from an orphanage, to manage a garage. During a routine car test, Willi discovers the brakes are faulty, narrowly averting disaster. While trying to hitchhike home, he is picked up by American election strategist Willy Schneider. An ensuing accident leaves them both with amnesia, leading the police to mistakenly identify Willi as the election expert. Thrust into the chaos of a fierce political race, he unwittingly becomes a key player in a high-stakes election battle, navigating challenges he never anticipated.
