Overview

In the tale of Joseph, the beloved son of Jacob and a descendant of Abraham, jealousy among his brothers leads them to sell him into slavery. Despite this betrayal, Joseph's fortunes change as he ascends to the position of prime minister in Egypt. When a severe famine strikes, he skillfully manages the crisis.
