Overview

Burglary veteran Max Dembo struggles to adjust after his release from prison, determined to lead an honest life and secure steady employment. However, his efforts to follow the straight and narrow are thwarted by a ruthless parole officer who is intent on maintaining control. As the pressure mounts and obstacles arise, Max finds himself slipping back into the criminal world, leading to a heartbreaking spiral back to incarceration.
