Overview

Captain Richard Sharpe leads the South Essex, a battalion plagued by ineptitude and filled with inexperienced soldiers. When the regiment suffers the humiliation of losing its colors, Sharpe is determined to restore its honor. He devises a bold plan to capture a coveted French Imperial eagle, a standard symbolizing glory.
