Viewed by some as an eccentric fraud, he faced ridicule for his bold declarations, which he staunchly maintained until his untimely demise. Lasseter embodies the spirit of the Australian folk hero, living a life filled with remarkable adventures, grand stories, and outrageous claims, including a rumored faked death and his assertion of designing the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
