Overview

In modern-day France, a cunning conman infiltrates a construction project for a highway extension, posing as the site manager. He successfully deceives the entire area, recruiting numerous workers and reveling in his ill-gotten gains. His plans take an unexpected turn upon encountering the village's strong-willed mayor, who captivates and challenges him to confront his emotions. As he grapples with newfound feelings, he must decide how far he's willing to go to protect those he deceived while also seeking redemption from his tangled web of lies.
