The Way West

Overview

Senator William J. Tadlock spearheads a group of settlers on a challenging journey to establish a new community in the 19th-century American West. As a strict and principled leader, he often finds himself at odds with Lije Evans, a newcomer who struggles to adapt to Tadlock's harsh methods. Their expedition is fraught with peril, as the settlers confront loss and tragedy, culminating in a heartbreaking incident when one member accidentally takes the life of a young Native American boy, forcing them to grapple with the consequences of frontier justice.
