Overview

A determined elderly woman named Irazca stands up against the village hierarchy to protect her family's home. Living with her son Kara Bayram, daughter-in-law Hatice, and three grandchildren, Irazca faces off against the village headman, who has sold a plot of common land to the wealthy Haceli. As construction threatens to overshadow their home, the family unites to resist the headman’s deceitful schemes, fighting to preserve their way of life and preserve their bond with the land. Their struggle highlights themes of resilience and the fight against injustice in a tightly-knit community.
