Rebel

Overview

Set against the backdrop of World War II Australia, an American Marine named Rebel finds himself recovering from injuries sustained in combat. Fatigued by the horrors of war, he dreams of escaping and going AWOL. His attention turns to Kathy, a local singer who is initially resistant to his advances due to her marriage. However, their connection deepens after she learns of her husband's death in battle. As the U.S. Military and local authorities close in, Rebel plans to flee via a cargo ship but ultimately surrenders to protect Kathy from the consequences of harboring him.
