Overview

Restless Yancey Cravat seizes the opportunity during the Oklahoma land rush, relocating his family from Wichita to the burgeoning town of Osage. As a multifaceted newspaperman and lawyer, he quickly rises to prominence in the community. Yet, the constraints of settled life soon drive him back to the Cherokee Strip, abandoning his family. In his absence, his wife, Sabra, learns to fend for herself and gradually establishes her own significant presence in the town, navigating the challenges of independence while Yancey pursues his restless ambitions.
