Natsume's Book of Friends: The Waking Rock and the Strange Visitor

Overview

Two intertwined tales unfold in this enchanting film. In "Ishi Okoshi," Natsume encounters a small youkai named Mitsumi in a tranquil forest. Mitsumi has the important task of awakening the divine youkai, Iwatetsu, from its prolonged slumber. Concerned for Mitsumi, Natsume decides to lend a hand. The second story, "Ayashiki Raihousha," introduces a mysterious youkai who frequently visits Tanuma, engaging him in brief conversations. While Tanuma relishes these encounters, Natsume grows anxious for his friend’s well-being as Tanuma's health begins to decline, despite the youkai's benign intentions.
