Overview

On the isolated Shishikari Island, a dwindling population grapples with economic decline. Keita Izumi (Tatsuya Fujiwara) revitalizes the community by cultivating black figs, attracting hopes of a 5 billion yen government grant. Excitement builds among the locals until the enigmatic Mutsuo Komisaka arrives, raising suspicions in Keita and his friends, Jun Tanabe (Kenichi Matsuyama) and rookie officer Shinichiro Moriya. When Keita’s daughter mysteriously vanishes, a confrontation leads to Komisaka's accidental death. To safeguard their futures, the trio conceals the truth, unaware that Komisaka was a dangerous psychopath, prompting a police investigation on the island.
