Overview

Tsutomu finds solace in his mountain retreat, where he pens essays and prepares Zen meals using homegrown vegetables and foraged mushrooms. His tranquil existence is pleasantly interrupted by visits from Machiko, his editor and secret love. While he embraces this simple lifestyle, a lingering sorrow shadows him; he remains attached to the ashes of his late wife, who passed away 13 years prior. As Tsutomu navigates his quiet world, the arrival of Machiko stirs emotions he thought he had buried, challenging him to confront his past and consider a future beyond his solitude.
